You type both twice. It takes four seconds and it is the only mistake that cannot be undone after payment.

Your plate goes into the official BGTOLL register, and the proof of payment lands in your inbox, as a PDF, within minutes.
The whole thing is a form with two screens and a payment. There is no account to create, no password to remember and nothing to install. You can do it from your phone, in a petrol station parking, and be back on the road in two minutes.
What you buy from us is not a vignette - it is a mandate. You authorise us to register your vehicle in the official Bulgarian database, in your name and on your account, and to pay the road tax on your behalf. The tax itself belongs to the Bulgarian state; we advance it and hand you the proof.

A confirmation email, within minutes
It arrives as soon as the registration goes through, at the address you confirmed before paying. If it is not there in a quarter of an hour, look in the spam folder before you write to us.
The proof of payment, as a PDF
The document shows the plate number, the vehicle category and the exact validity period. Keep it on your phone - it is what you show if anyone asks.
The entry in the official register
This is the part that actually matters on the road. The cameras read your plate and look it up in the BGTOLL register, not in your inbox.
How long each period lasts
With a start date in the future, the period starts at 00:00 on that day; with today as the start date, it starts when we register the vignette, right after payment. Either way, it closes at 23:59 on the last day. The exception is the 1-day vignette: 24 hours from the time you choose on the start date.

You can set the start date up to 30 days ahead, so you can buy today for a trip in three weeks.
The weekend is the exception
The weekend vignette does not start when you want it to. It opens on Friday at 12:00 and closes on Sunday at 23:59, whichever day you buy it on.
That is why the configurator swaps the date picker for a list of Fridays as soon as you pick it. If you leave on Thursday morning, the weekend one will not cover you - take a single day or a week instead.
How to check that the vignette is active
Do not take our word for it. Check it at the source.
- Open check.bgtoll.bg, the official checking page of the Bulgarian road authority.
- Choose the country of registration and type the plate exactly as you gave it to us, without spaces.
- The page answers with the validity period. It reads the same register the roadside cameras do, and it is independent of us.
If the check shows nothing yet
Give it a few minutes. The register updates shortly after the registration, and a vignette bought for a later date only shows up once its period opens.

If you got the plate number wrong
Write to us immediately. Speed is the whole difference here.
Before we register it
We correct the plate at no cost. Nothing has reached BGTOLL yet, so there is nothing to undo.
After it is registered
The plate can no longer be changed. The road tax has been paid to the Bulgarian state for that exact number and cannot be moved to another one, so a new vignette has to be bought.
This is why we show the plate the way it looks on the car, and why we put it in front of you once more before you pay. Everything else - the email, the start date, the period - can still be sorted out afterwards. Write to us at contact@vinietabg.ro.
